GeForce FX5700 Problems :\

Im having a problem with a FX 5700 in Counter-Strike, after formatting yesterday, when i load up CS, the walls and boxes look pixelated from a distance, but once i get close to them they are fine. Im running the latest drivers from Nvidia on both my NF7 (4.24 nforce drivers) and Geforce card (Version: 56.72). I was running these same drivers before formatting, ive tried different resolutions, 16 bit 32 bit, all kinds of AA/AF combinations, and still looks the same :\ Im guessing the card is bad?? but it was fine before formatting. Anyone have any suggestions i could try? Thanks in advance.

what version of CS are you playing? are you running it in Open GL or D3D? did you disable vsync? before you can say for sure it's the graphics card, you should try running several other games and see how they play. do the same artifacts show up in other games? is the card overclocked? make sure the card's fan is working properly when turned on. secondly, the card should be tested in another computer if possible to see if it produces the same results. if so then most likely you have a graphics card problem otherwise try to rule out a software problem.

thanks for the reply tango, im playing CS on Open GL with vsync on. I tried the settings with D3D, and i still get the pixelation. Call Of Duty shows the same 🙁 RMA time 🙁

Um maybe try adjusting the LOD in your games. Most games display low quality textures for things far away and update the textures as you get closer. That may be what you are seeing.
