I need your advice in the following matter: I want to upgrade my video card, and a guy at the store told me, that a GeForce FX5200 128 MB, withAGP8x would work on a motherboard w/ AGP4x... Do you think it will work?

My comp's other specs
Athlon 1.3GHz,
Mobo: ECS K7S5A
512 MB DDR, pc 2100
40 GB HD,
Now there's a GeForce2 w/ 32MB in it (AGP4x)

Yes but the FX5200 is a horrible card. I would not waste my money on it.

AGP 8x is backwards compatible, however you may be better off with a radeon 9600 etc...

If I am not mistaken all 8X cards will run fine on a 4X board. Avoid the FX5200 if at all possible, and good alternative would be a GF4ti 4200 or a ATI 9600NP, both offer better performance, without a big $ diffrence.
