What model do you have? Does it even allow you to add a standard AGP vid card?

RTFM (Read The Fscking Manual)! It will tell you if the vid is upgradable. The specs at the link I posted didn't show it as being so. Besides, most of the better gaming quality vid cards are power monsters that would suck your battery dry in no time.

Good luck, but do your homework. :)

you definitely cant upgrade that card, I think ATI is the only company that made User upgradable Mobility solutions....like the 9600 MOBILITY. This is the first gen of cards that can be taken out and replaced by the consumer...

Although it is possible to upgrade other notebooks, even if not officially supported...

Like my 8500... can (and soon will) have a 9600 instead of the 4200 Go it currently does.

I think Dell, Alienware, and possibly Voodoo are the only manufacturers with user upgradeable solutions. Most of the time if it says nothing about it in the manual or literature, you cannot do it. Look on Toshiba's forums and see if anyone has done it, my guess is no.

Most of the time the graphics "card" is soldered onto the laptop's motherboard. Chances are you're SOL, should have done more research on your laptop or laptops in general if it is really that big of an issue.

Well laptops aren't exactly meant to have gaming in mind. If it is an afterthought to want to game then it is definately understandable. Some of the best laptops (that don't cost an arm and a leg) are far from killer gaming laptops or even come in a "flavor" that is above par for gaming.

laptop graphics aren't generally ment to be upgradeable and Toshiba does not support user upgradeable graphics.

That is y u do r homework b4 purchasing a laptop and base your purchase on what u want it for now, and 4 possibly in the near future.

Example:
A year or so ago i bought a Toshiba 1410 with a mobile Cel 1.8GHz and a Geforce 4Go. A few of my Uni mates went out and bought for around the same price P4M 2.2 and 2.4 based laptops with intel "extreme"ly slow graphics. We all like playin games and my laptop is the only 1 that can play half modern games.
