Happy Holidays JiffyLube!
You lost me with the cryptic "I think you mean 41 years and 3-4 months! " but my point was nVidia missed this cycle for me. I'll pay $400 for a VGA, but not 4 months after I paid $400 for a different one.

Yeah it was cryptic, sorry about that. However, I wasn't just pulling it out of my @$$ - check the article - it actually does say that it's for sale on 4/4/2044. The card is adverstised as being on sale in 2044!!! I know this is just so their computers don't get any preorders at the moment, but it's funny nonetheless!

If you think that's bad read the rest of it... :disgust:

It uses a massive 256MB of DDR-2 RAM (twice that of its nearest rival), an 800MHz memory clock speed

The page claims the DRAM is running at 800MHz... down from 1GHz DDR-II, along with claims of 256MB RAM. Both of those claims go against nVidia's own claims of 500MHz/1GHz DDR-II + 128MB.

This gives it a huge memory bandwidth making the card over 2.5x faster than the current top of the market speed demon, ATI?s Radeon 9700!

Fascinating, even assuming 1GHz DDR-II on a 128bit memory controller they still yield 16GB/s, which is 3.8GB/s less then the R9700Pro.... yet somehow they claim over 2.5X the bandwdith of the R9700?

To get 2.5X the bandwdith of the R9700 with 500MHz DDR-II they'll need BETTER then a 384bit memory controller!
Why do I find that slighly dubious?

But hey... we're not finished making ridiculous claims yet!

DirectX 9 which will be used in awe inspiring games like Doom 3 and Breed which are due this year!

That's right, ID has lied to us all with claims of OpenGL... Doom3 is suddenly DX9!
Oh, and don't forget that it'll be released in the next couple of days, yes that's correct Doom3 will be released in 2002 according to the page!

All these and a delivery date of 4/4/2044...... at this rate they'll soon be claiming 3dfx has come back from the dead and will be releasing a BitBoys product designed in 1896.

Accuracy is evidently not a high priority for the linked site.

Ya, while your in 2044 bring me back a happy pill (anti-depressant) that actually works and also a GeForce47-Ti35000000 and a Pentium20 10 Petahertz. And could you please bring me that new new cure for death that was invented in 2043. Thank you.:)

To add another one to my list of laughable comments from that site....
16 texture units per pipeline

Another area in which they wish to tell us nVidia is lying, and the GeForce FX now has 16TMU's/pipeline.
That's right... we all thought the FX was impressive at 4GTexels/s, well according to this site... it's really an absolutely incredible 64GTexels/s :p
