I guess you were right, the GF2 Ti really is faster than the FX5200. I was impressed by the numbers so I ran Neverwinter Nights to check if the score given was accurate, and it was. Using the 64mb texture pack with very high quality (but no grass, no dynamic lights, no shadows), it was smooth; very smooth. My FX5200 struggles in that game when using the 16mb texture pack with fairly low quality settings.
I must have had bad drivers in the past, because when I got that 5200 it was much much faster than the GF2. I wouldn't be surprised if the GF2 driver installation had some error and I was actually using drivers signed by Microsoft 😀.
