So I downloaded it out of curiosity since I do go about setting up my own settings. Turns out all the games I have that this tool thinks I should be running the graphics a step higher than I am. NVidia claims they are targetting 40-60 fps, where its 60 most of the time. That is about what I am interested in as well so I thought I would test out Planet side 2.

PS2 - In a major battle I found my frame rate to be 24 fps. Yep it was unplayable.
My settings - somewhere around 45 fps.

I think NVidia is being a tad too optimisitic with its settings. I may well try the other games but I trust my own setting up (where I turn it down after perceiving slow downs) than theirs.

To be fair planet side 2 is also very very variable, go from open plains to 15 tanks and 75 ground troops with 5 air units diving in and out.
I'd try other games, but I wouldn't be surprised if they over do it just a bit for most.

They should probably take that variability into account when deciding on settings, though.
