Geforce 9 Series Question

Will it require an 8 pin connector rather than 6 pin? Trying to figure out a PSU to future proof for the next series.

The power requirements of the anticipated 9-series are yet unknown, and mid-range cards may have different connectors to high-end cards.

Besides, different OEM board partners may decide to use different power connectors even for the same GPU.

As for "future-proofing", isn't there a PSU that provides both 6 and 8 pin connectors? 🙂

Well, there are these:

6 pin to 8 pin PCI-e power adapter

4 pin molex to 6 pin PCI-e adapter

Unless the 9800's come with an ATX 24 pin power connector, you're in business.

I ordered the 6pin to 8pin from them about a month ago and the adapters were at my house within 4-5days. Excellent company to order from.
