Is this card good enough to run COD4 and gears of war? I have it already in a store bought system for my sister that she has had for a few months.

It'll play it. You'll have to play on low to medium graphics settings and probably at 800x600 or 1024x768 max.

Try them out and if it's too slow for you then you can upgrade. You've got nothing to lose by installing them and taking it for a spin.

Don't worry so much about upgrading until you play the games first. You might be pleased enough with the performance that you won't need to upgrade. However if you do decide to upgrade, go for the Nvidia 9600GT or the ATI HD3850 cards. Your 400Watt should be able to handle those. :)
