The power requirement for G80 and r600 appear to be kind of a joke (if true) and they say the following gen will be back to lower power. So they expect people to put a 300w space heater in one of their 5-1/4" bays to cook their burners for a year and then toss it?
Plus, afaik, if I'm not jumping on the vista bandwagon right away, dx10 won't do me any good anyway.

Yeah I'm buying an XTX and selling my BFG GTX too. I'm borrowing an XTX now and it is freaking incredible, you will literally see around an 80-110+% increase in FPS. If you game at 19xx rez, about a double...
I dont think the X1900XTX series necessarily gets enough credit for its speed along with what is a sharper picture and better ocing options
