GeForce 7800

Hey guys,

I'm considering upgrading my video card (currently still using ancient X300 SE) to experience the best battlefield 2 can offer. I've been considering GeForce 7800 GT as its price has been dropping to the low 300.

I'm budgeting this at $320 max, which card offers the biggest bang for that money, and should I go 'head and snatch one up now or should I wait for a few weeks?

This one or This one.

The only difference is $20 and the more expensive one has 10 more mhz on the core. Don't really know if the $319 (470 core one) has a better hand picked core or not, but just get the $299 one and bump up the core 10mhz to save your self $20.

EDIT: I liked those two because they have the copper core, for like no more money then a regualr GT (bang for your buck right there).

Yup, you can OC all you like, they don't care. (Not that any company can prove that you OC'd your card, but you get the point right?)

What about XFX's DOUBLE LIFETIME WARRENTY? Can't really beat that can ya.

Thanks guys.

What's the performace difference between 256-P2-N516 and 256-P2-N515 ? The difference in price is about $20.

516 comes factory OC'd.

Not really worth the price difference IMO. Just OC your card to the 516 or 517 levels. EVGA fully covers overclocking and replacing the HSF (as long as you keep the stock HSF) in their warranty.
