Hi,
I am currently running an NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X on my Asus P4G8X motherboard (AGP 8X/4X, socket 478, E7205 chipset).
I am looking for recommendations for a new video card that would work on this motherboard and have 3D and pixel shader 1.4 or above support (for 3D gaming - realflight G4.5 to be exact).
I'm thinking BFG Tech GeForce 7600GS 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card, but not sure if it would run on my system, or other considerations.

Can I even get a good video card for this old motherboard anymore?
My GeForce 4200 has been fine otherwise.

thanks for your help.

Thank you for the replies.
I love unanimous votes!

Hope this will breathe new life into my old system.
Is there a thread for a qucik how-to on swapping video cards?
tnx

uninstall your old drivers, turn off the system, disconnect the monitor cable, pull out your old card, put the new one in, connect the power cable, reconnect the monitor, power up, install new drivers, reboot.
