I haven't had the exact same problem as some had with the video card freezing during 3dmark or doom3. i can't even get a chance to use those programs, i have a much larger problem. here is a pic of what the problem looks like

ok the pic didn't work, you'll find a pic in the thread i linked you to

and here is a link to a forum i also posted my problem in, rather than write it all over again. So far i haven't had any luck. i've even tried the bios settings that helped someone in here with there problem:
fastwrite disabled
agp speed 4x8x not auto
agp apature 512 instead of 256mb

If anyone in here can help me out i'd EXTREMELY appreciate it since i cannot use this $500 video card AT ALL

Im running a pny geforce 6800 ultra. Runs fine in windows - but than reboots randomly during any sort of 3d use. (I.E. Gaming) I have a 500 watt Antec power supply, so I don't believe that is the issue. The card idles at 67 degrees Celsius, although it appears to be dropping as I clocked the 2d and 3d clocks down to 300 mhz w/ coolbits. My case is cooled very well, with plenty of air flowing over the card. I will be trying it with the new clock settings shortly, hopefully that will help.

dextrezza - You didnt link us to anything or give us any information about your problem, I dont think you'll be getting much help like that.

OK people, here is the last (maybe) post on what seems a dying thread:

My fix for the 6800U:

It took me until I was playing Counterstrike Source for a bit before I got really pissed off and lockups (sometimes I never saw them in CS:S....sometimes every 5 min.)

So I played around with the overclocking job I had done. I had properly put the 2D and 3D at 425 mhz. However I didn't play with voltages (too afraid too)

In my "fury" I upped the 2D and 3D voltage to equal......lockup free ever since. I am able to get 120 FPS in CS:S and only some jerkyness in Far Cry (because I prefer quality to performance)

That is my fix I emphasize it is mine because it may/will not fix everyone's problems....but good luck everyone.

OC(no artefacts, etc.) at 415/1120...Now obviously...(in my case atleast) this seems to be a driver problem
LOL, and I guess the fact that you're running the card outside of its operating parameters has nothing to do with it. Yup, it's the drivers at fault.
