Couples of year back people say that 2 GB of Vram is more than enough but now its common. There is no more price difference between both. So go for Gtx 680 4 GB.
Skyrim with every mod under the sun
Ah, where the hell are these fabled cards at? I haven't seen any word on anything thing but they were coming months ago.... Sigh....
Ditto!! HIGH RES texture packs and HIDef gaming!!! 4K soon
It's like I tell people when they buy HIFI stereo amps, you can always turn it down but never up when you have more clean power watts than not enough!!!![]()
I think you could say the same thing about the "standard" 680GTX. Finding the stock 680 GTX was like me trying to find a Cabbage Patch doll years ago for my one daughter. CRAZY!

Well [H] says differentthis. anyone who thinks 2gb vram is enough clearly hasnt tried hi-res texture, max eyecandy, and high levels of ssaa.
Well he didn't mention modsH isn't running mods. Bethesda's texture pack is a joke. Go to skyrimnexus and install 8-10 texture packs and you'll get single digit FPS /w 2GB @2560. I know because I've done it.
I'm playing a Stalker CoP Russian mod with a texture pack right now and my xfire 6950's are using ~1800MB each @2560.
2GB is only enough vram because games aren't getting high res textures (thank you xbox!). Once you start installing texture mods all bets are off.

From all benchmarks we've seen, with today's games, 2GB is plenty, no matter the resolution. We can try to predict the future, but take predictions with a grain of salt.
