A friend of mine has an older dell computer with only PCI slots on it. He wants to upgrade his on-board video to something stronger. I suggested he get this.
The problem is, the card says it requires a 300 watt power supply and he has a 250 watt PSU.
Here are some system stats...
Dell Dimension 2400
Pentium 4 2.2 GHZ
512 MB PC2700 RAM
60 GB HD
Teac DVD Burner
52x CD ROM
I told him I thought it would be fine but that I wasn't sure. I told him I'd ask everyone's advice here first. If it doesn't seem like his system can power the card, I'd appreciate alternative suggestions. Thanks
