well i for one was a little disappointed in rollo. if you've read the whole thread, he was stating how he had inside info and that everything would soon be fixed and we need to stop posting because it was all "pointless" and that on a certain date we would get a fix. that was about a few weeks ago. now the date has been extended to dec. 20. i'm act. waiting to see what is done. i've sinced returned my 6800 but will be more than willing to buy another one once i see if there is a fix or not. i think your a little too new mr. yobailey to come into this thread and make that bold of a statement.

No, yobelly was wrong. We steamed along just fine for a few days until Rollo had to roll-out the BS again. For just what you claim bothers you so much, flaming. I already have, and for good reason. If you aren't party to a disagreement it makes no sense at all exacerbating things by joining and taking sides. If it gets REAL bad, and you can't take it, notify a mod and let THEM handle it. To me it seemed there were only two worthwhile courses of action: complain to your card manufacturer, or wait till the fix is released. At the time it seemed waiting the couple weeks was the more reasonable course of action.

My buddy also gave me the 20th date plus some more info, I didn't bother to post because frankly I thought it would be met with childish hostility.

I will say by being disappointed in me, you're "shooting the messenger". I don't really have any connection to nVidia other than an old friend who works there, I just thought you guys would want to know that it looked to me like the 6800s will be offering more video functionality than they do now.

sorry Rollo, i must've misunderstood you. it seemed you were putting down our claims and invalidating our concerns. hope there is no hard feelings. by the way, i did appreciate your inside knowledge as it helped me hold onto my 6800 as long as i could but i decided its better to return and buy later when everything does get resolve. well, i'll be looking in this thread come dec. 20 to see how the much the nvidia fix will remedy some of the people's concern in here. (i feel like the rock saying "the people's") keep up the good work w/the inside scoop rollo, always appreciated

No hard feelings and no apology necessary, except from me. I didn't think this was a very big deal when I first joined this thread, but have seen how much you all care about it, which prompted me to try and find out what was going on. ( at least as much as I could)

I do apologize to the board for shrugging this off as inconsequential at first, and my exchanges with some of the more "colorful" individuals here.

Oh well. Nine more days. BTW- I tried to get the actual "Pure Video" - denied. If only my last name were Shrimpi, Pabst, or Bennett.......
