Nah, GF 3's been out a year or so, right?
GF 4 must be due by Spring?
Summer?
Next Fall?

GF3s have been out 6 months I believe. We'll probably see some new chip from Nvidia in another 6.

Well, the next Doom.
I own NVDA stock, so new cards and specs are exciting for me, even if I never buy a card.
I hope some new games come out.
I was really looking forward to Tribes 2, but it seems to be a flop.
I finished Deus EX, and Max Payne.
Love it if a new game comes out..boring now.
Yahoo! Pool is the bets game out right now.

It's out, it is called the GF3 Ti 500. This was the next product in the 6 month life cycle. GF3 hit the street in March. As far as GF4, I have no idea what you are talking about as nVidia has not even used this term. So if you are looking for the latest 6 mnth product - Ti 500.

Don't worry about the games :D We've already got several that run lackadaisical at best with the current high-end stuff, especially when using any form of AA at 1600x1200x32, which is what I play at on a regular basis. We're lucky to see 30-35fps at this res.

GeForce4, where are you? :)

geforce 4?...there's not even any games that can make use of the current power, unless u're one of those FSAA whores.

gimmie some software that actually stresses my geforce SDR hardcore and then i'll consider upgrading...
then i'll consider getting money i mean.

We have the GF 3 and the GF3 Ti 500.
They are essentially the same.
The next different card to come out is what I mean when I say GF 4.

That is the next card that I am buying unless Doom 3 comes out first. Until then, my Geforce 2 GTS 64Mb runs games as fast I could want. But shelling out $350 in September sounds fine so me since I will have gotten a full 1.5 years out of this card.

"lmao.. GF3 was just released a little while back... hold your horses!"

Actually, here it says that the GeForce3 was released 8 months ago.

"its (GF4) being release on september 14th 2002"

Really? That would give enough time for a spring 2002 refresh of the Titanium GF3's and then the GF4 release in the fall 2002. If that is what they plan on doing, then they really have slown down their product cycle.

Yeah.
I think it has to be due in the spring, so it seems like we would be hearing rumors about it already.

Yes, 8 months ago. exactly..that is no time! ridiculous.. my GF2 GTS still gets mind numbing fps in games and people are wanting GF4 for what reason??
GF3 is completely overkill as it is... this is hilarious!!! oh well i guess if you have money to BURN then you want this kind of stuff...

Yield,

People who run flight simulators need a whole lot more horspower than the gamers... There is no CPU or video card that is "too good" for any of the new sims coming out in the near future (IL-2 by Maddox Games and the new MS Flight Sim iteration)

$.02

voodoo3 2000 here. I have no problem running Max Payne. I even looked at a side by side comparison of my voodoo3 to a gf2 gts and didn't see a difference. I don't get slowdown either. granted I"m running at 800x600. But thats good enough for me. Can you tell I'm lying. I NEED A gf3. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

nvida goes in...... 6 month cycles i think it is. it goes new product, "ultra" of that product, new product, "ultra", etc. right now they just started the "ultra" phase of the geforce3, so you can expect something new in 6 months.

edit - might be 9 months
