I haven't seen any 4400s or 4200s either, but the 4200 should first get out in a couple of weeks I think. I hope 4200 will be the next Ti200 when oc'ing. Dang, have only had my Ti200 a month and am already consdering upgrading, didn't expect the GF4s to be that much faster.

<< you mean 4600? >>

GF4s come in three types: Ti4600, the fastest; Ti4400 and Ti4200.

The 4200 will take the longest to come out, perhaps even 3 months.

nVidia's website

nVidia doesn't even advertise that there is a Ti4200 right now, just check the URL! Although it is coming, it's still a way off - they need to skim the market for a couple of months with the higher priced 4400 and 4600 cards. The 4200 is going to be the last GF4 out the door, so don't hold your breath.

As for price/performance - the 4200 is the clear winner there, followed by the 4400 then the 4600 ... Think about it, the 4200 is HALF the price of the 4600, you could get 2 4200's and o/c them to near 4600 speeds for the price of one 4600! That's why they can't hurt the sales of their 4600 by releasing the 4200 right away. I want a 4200 myself, but believe me, it's not head-and-shoulders above the GF3 series in any way.

I am thinking about the 4400 since it will be near 4600 speeds, (275/275?) vs (300/whatever ultra high number). From what I remember, isn't the 4200 going to be clocked at (215/215)? That does not seems that great to me, but I hope I read that wrong and it is really 250/250, because that is great. Then again, in 3 months, 250/250 will not be that great.

:(It'll suck if nVidia really delays the 4200 for a few months but it makes financial sense for them to. I'm running with a Geforce 1 SDR (overclocks very poorly) so I really need some relief. I'm very tempted to get in on the Gateway deal on the 4400.

I think the 4200 will be very poplular due to the great performance to cost ratio it should have. I wish Nvidia would have planned to release this card from the beginning, but the way they are going it will probably be a month or two longer than the 4600 or 4400. All the budget minded people like myself are going to be dying trying to hold back on buying the better cards just becuase they are out and the 4200 is not. It is a lot of temptation, but I must be strong!
