These drivers build on the enhancements found in the 337.50 betas plus update numerous SLI profiles (including for the about to be released Watch Dogs), so they are definitely worth downloading; particularly if you have an SLI rig but great for single GPUs as well.

I'm pretty sure these are a newer branch than the 337.50 drivers.. These are the WHQLs NVidia was talking about that would build on the performance of the 337.50 drivers they released a while back.

There's 337.81 beta, which wasn't published on Nvidia but available from Guru3d- I'm assuming that's what the 337.88 is based on.

These should make TitanZ competetive with the 295x2 it looks like....Ignoring price of course.

By sprinkling fairy dust on it.
Sure.

Apple makes the TitanZ?

Looking at the results in the chart it seems like the improvements would help justify TitanZ as a non gaming market, gaming market card. You don't think so?

In my opinion the only thing that can save Titan Z is a better cooler, higher clockspeed & price reduction.

Drivers can only do so much.

So this heads up for a new driver becomes the Titan Z attack thread. Interesting. Well, not really. Yawn. By the way, thanks for the heads-up Carfax. These drivers are running great for me. The color profile options in the NV CP are changed, I did notice that.

Benchmarks are garbage. newest nv driver older amd driver although they released their wd driver today too.

So after testing six cards we immediately halted testing. The game was a mess, Ultra Quality settings at Ultra HD would even use up to 6+ GB on the graphics memory. Ultra HD became a stutter-fest especially in-game at road at crossings and with cars passing by. Changing settings in-game would not kick in either, so each change on AA or Quality or resolution required us to log out of the game, then start it up again. Testing these six cards at three resolutions took 4 hours

the game itself is a mess too.

tbh so is their benchmarking. but we get the rough picture

Rough picture of what. ?
So AMD doesn't have a working Crossfire profile for a Game that just came out & so their dual GPU card doesn't perform well.
Big news.

I remember in one of these Driver updates Nvidia added a SLI profile for Total war:Rome (I believe).
A game that came out 2 years ago.

That also gives me a picture.

Just another reason why buying PC games at release has become a terrible idea. I'll wait til Ubisoft/Nvidia/AMD get their heads out of their asses.

Looks like there are issues with performance variability. Also looks like despite just installing this driver (which I hope fixes the BF4 lockups) I'll be installing another one tomorrow. Sigh.

What makes you think it's the driver and not the game. I've had the game lock up on me a few times too.

680 > 770

Why?
During our test runs we found that one test run will result on 50 FPS, the second 40 FPS ... This means that the results shown today in this article are preliminary and indicative, not a precise measurement by any standard. And that's something we do not like. It in fact made me hesitate whether or not to post this article whatsoever.

What makes me think its the driver is the way in which it crashes. The mouse pointer is still moving but nothing can be drawn. I try to bring up the task manager and nothing, its just the GPU driver in a bad state. BF4 is what is causing it but it shouldn't lock up the GUI like that.
