The explanation is probably that AMD has been using the 7850K as their go to cpu when showing of the benefits of mantle in cpu limited scenarios, therefore Nvidia also used it to achieve somewhat comparable results (plus the big story with the 337 drivers, was all about reducing CPU overhead)

Wot is so hit and miss on FPS but I have seen the lowest FPS ever today. As low as 50 FPS after the new driver :(

The game is broken with no reliable performance but they post the test anyway. Nice.:colbert:

Must gain those page views.
Isn't it a pirated copy, too? The game isn't out until Tuesday and Ubisoft's hasn't been handing out copies for performance evaluation (as far as anyone has mentioned). The copies they did hand out are for reviewers, and those are under NDAs that have yet to expire.

I remember in one of these Driver updates Nvidia added a SLI profile for Total war:Rome (I believe).
A game that came out 2 years ago.

That also gives me a picture.

Rome II released in September and it only got a SLI profile recently cause the game was a total mess and the Creative Assembly needed to fix their own code to make it work. They managed in patch 11.

Tested Skyrim, heavily modded, runs 60FPS and the frametime up and downs are a little better. Still get the random hesitations, guess that will never go away. Saint's Row IV runs about 30 seconds then restarts. First time anything like that has ever happened and I change drivers nearly every time they come out. Bioshock Infinite, 60FPS and no problems, frametimes 18 to 20 with no deviation. Dragon Age Ultimate Edition, 60FPS and smooth frametimes. Batman AO no problems. Tomb Raider no problems, runs about the same, 60 FPS with no TressFX. Running a heavily modded Morrowind and it runs about the same as before, loading area lags and occasional choppiness running at 2560 by 1600. Sure is pretty, though.
