The new NVIDIA GeForce 310.33 beta drivers are now available to download. Featuring GTX 600 Series performance improvements of up to 15%, the new GeForce 310.33 beta drivers are a recommended download for all Kepler users. In addition to performance improvements, the GeForce 310.33 beta drivers include a number of new and updated SLI and Ambient Occlusion profiles that benefit and enhance all GeForce PCs.
You can download the GeForce 310.33 beta drivers with one click from the GeForce.com homepage; Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 packages are available for desktop systems, and for notebooks there are Windows 7 and Windows 8 downloads that cover all products, including the GeForce GTX 680M. If you have any feedback or comments, please drop us a note via the comments section or use the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form.
Performance Improvements

We’ve increased performance in numerous games over the past year, and today we’re increasing performance yet again, with gains of up to 7.5% on the GTX 660, and 15.7% on the GTX 680. Other GTX 600 Series products will see gains also, though the extent of those improvements will of course vary and be further influenced by a user’s software and hardware configuration.

Best thing of the new branch:
-Automatic LOD-adjustment in SGSSAA

-Users can still manually overwrite LOD-values in Nvinspector if desired

-Finally all LOD-adjustments (new automatic or manual) working in DX10/11 too

Surprised BF3 wasn't on that list, considering its current popularity. I would think it would be a primary reference for all near-future driver releases. Good news for everyone, as is competition.

I really do not see a need for a BF3 performance jump i can get 170 fps pretty easy in Bf3 now.

They need to work on Borderlands 2 however..

What about for 5xx series cards. Does it boost performance on that, if not, not worth messing with the drivers then.

Performance for free? Any power consumption numbers?

Isn't it a bit late to be getting excited over what will soon become, a last gen product? Isn't that why the prices have dropped, and large game bundles are offered? Inventory needs to be cleared.

Great to see what a bit of competition can do. And to think from some of the comments in the endless 'financial' thread both here and CPUs that some people would prefer less choice. Strange sentiments except maybe from shareholders.

Looks like the 15% is Skyrim which is nice. Although I am also surprised that they're no mention of BF3.

+1. All the pertinent questions in one post 😀

nVidia user got their "BF3 performance driver" 7 months ago. So why would they expect more performance? :hmm:

you got 170 in sli 🙂 people have dips below 60 on single 680 .... so .... 15% performance boost for skyrim ? come on ... even on 560 you can get about 60 fps.... on surround 15% will be anyway useless for 680....

Overclock a little 😉

Some have been reporting a few game crashes here and there. I've been messing around with these all morning in five or six games and personally, I didn't have any issues and did see a slight performance gain. Nothing huge but I'm still glad this driver came out.

Dark Athena, LOL? That game's over three years old - how the heck is it getting the lowest fps, and why is it even on this list? Oh, now I see:

•Civilization V: Performance increased by 2% at 1920x1200 when using DirectX 11 and max settings in a late-game benchmark.
•DiRT 3: Performance increased by 2.1% at 2560x1600 when using DirectX 11 and Ultra settings.

The Skyrim bump looks nice and potentially relevant, but let's be honest, this is not a "Performance Driver" like AMD's recent release, and nVidia was really reaching by quoting those "up to" numbers.

It's nice to see Nvidia still squeezing performance out of Kepler's current lineup as it is primarily bandwidth starved more than anything.

Yeah, some issues with the new PhysX-package are showing up.

From older games (which use PhysX, even if it's the CPU-only libraries) not starting to second long-freezes in Borderlands 2.

If anyone got trouble with it, try reinstalling PhysX manually in the extracted setup-folder ("/PhysX/PhysX_9.12.0904_SystemSoftware.msi") or rolling back to an older PhysX-version.

I wonder though if it's the driver+PhysX-combination or PhysX alone.
As in - does this package have the same issues if you use it with an AMD graphics card (since you still need PhysX on such a system for games that use the CPU-only part of it)?
