The new NVIDIA GeForce 310.33 beta drivers are now available to download. Featuring GTX 600 Series performance improvements of up to 15%, the new GeForce 310.33 beta drivers are a recommended download for all Kepler users. In addition to performance improvements, the GeForce 310.33 beta drivers include a number of new and updated SLI and Ambient Occlusion profiles that benefit and enhance all GeForce PCs.
You can download the GeForce 310.33 beta drivers with one click from the GeForce.com homepage; Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 packages are available for desktop systems, and for notebooks there are Windows 7 and Windows 8 downloads that cover all products, including the GeForce GTX 680M. If you have any feedback or comments, please drop us a note via the comments section or use the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form.
Performance Improvements

We’ve increased performance in numerous games over the past year, and today we’re increasing performance yet again, with gains of up to 7.5% on the GTX 660, and 15.7% on the GTX 680. Other GTX 600 Series products will see gains also, though the extent of those improvements will of course vary and be further influenced by a user’s software and hardware configuration.

Great news! I knew this was going to happen, nVidia couldn't let AMD have all the fun :p .

Best thing of the new branch:
-Automatic LOD-adjustment in SGSSAA

-Users can still manually overwrite LOD-values in Nvinspector if desired

-Finally all LOD-adjustments (new automatic or manual) working in DX10/11 too

Surprised BF3 wasn't on that list, considering its current popularity. I would think it would be a primary reference for all near-future driver releases. Good news for everyone, as is competition.

I really do not see a need for a BF3 performance jump i can get 170 fps pretty easy in Bf3 now.

They need to work on Borderlands 2 however..

Performance for free? Any power consumption numbers?

Isn't it a bit late to be getting excited over what will soon become, a last gen product? Isn't that why the prices have dropped, and large game bundles are offered? Inventory needs to be cleared.

Great to see what a bit of competition can do. And to think from some of the comments in the endless 'financial' thread both here and CPUs that some people would prefer less choice. Strange sentiments except maybe from shareholders.

Looks like the 15% is Skyrim which is nice. Although I am also surprised that they're no mention of BF3.

nVidia user got their "BF3 performance driver" 7 months ago. So why would they expect more performance? :hmm:

you got 170 in sli :) people have dips below 60 on single 680 .... so .... 15% performance boost for skyrim ? come on ... even on 560 you can get about 60 fps.... on surround 15% will be anyway useless for 680....

Some have been reporting a few game crashes here and there. I've been messing around with these all morning in five or six games and personally, I didn't have any issues and did see a slight performance gain. Nothing huge but I'm still glad this driver came out.

Dark Athena, LOL? That game's over three years old - how the heck is it getting the lowest fps, and why is it even on this list? Oh, now I see:

[660] Game Settings & Results:

•Batman: Arkham City: Performance increased by 3.3% at 1920x1080 when using Very High detail settings, Tessellation High, PhysX Off and 4xMSAA.
•Civilization V: Performance increased by 2% at 1920x1200 when using DirectX 11 and max settings in a late-game benchmark.
•DiRT 3: Performance increased by 2.1% at 2560x1600 when using DirectX 11 and Ultra settings.
•Dragon Age 2: Performance increased by 3.1% at 1920x1080 when using max settings and 8xMSAA.
•The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena: Performance increased by 7.5% at 2560x1600 when using max settings.
•The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Performance increased by 6.2% at 1920x1080 when using High settings in an outdoor scenario. At the same resolution, an improvement of 4.1% was measured when using Ultra settings.

[680] Game Settings & Results:

•Batman: Arkham City: Performance increased by 5.3% at 1920x1080 when using Very High detail settings, Tessellation High, PhysX High and 4xMSAA.
•Civilization V: Performance increased by 2.8% at 1920x1200 when using DirectX 11 and max settings in a late-game benchmark.
•Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Performance increased by 3.2% at 1600x1200 when using DirectX 11 and max settings.
•F1 2011: Performance increased by 4.4% at 2560x1600 when using DirectX 11 and max settings.
•StarCraft II: Performance increased by 5.6% at 1920x1080 when using Ultra settings.
•The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena: Performance increased by 15.7% at 2560x1600 when using max settings.
•The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Performance increased by 10.9% at 1920x1080 when using High settings in an indoor scenario. At 2560x1600, an improvement of 6.9% was measured in an outdoor scenario.

The Skyrim bump looks nice and potentially relevant, but let's be honest, this is not a "Performance Driver" like AMD's recent release, and nVidia was really reaching by quoting those "up to" numbers.

Yeah, some issues with the new PhysX-package are showing up.

From older games (which use PhysX, even if it's the CPU-only libraries) not starting to second long-freezes in Borderlands 2.

If anyone got trouble with it, try reinstalling PhysX manually in the extracted setup-folder ("/PhysX/PhysX_9.12.0904_SystemSoftware.msi") or rolling back to an older PhysX-version.

I wonder though if it's the driver+PhysX-combination or PhysX alone.
As in - does this package have the same issues if you use it with an AMD graphics card (since you still need PhysX on such a system for games that use the CPU-only part of it)?
