Geforce 3 probs on XP

I just installed XP Pro on my computer last night and I like it, but I am having problems with games. Max Payne crashes back to the desktop but 3D Mark 2001 runs great. I checked the IRQ's and noticed that Windows stuck everything under 9. It has the Soundblaster Live on there with the network card, VIA USB controller, Promise ATA controller, and video card. I'm amazed the thing boots at all with all that on one IRQ. I'm betting that this is where the problem is coming from but I am unfamiliar with how to change this. Also this new XP seems to load slower than my 98SE did. So much for that 33% improvement in loading times over 98. Has anyone else had these problems? P.S., I already installed the XP drivers from Nvidia.

Well I didn't get a chance to try to many things I had XP on for a couple weeks and it doesn't boot any faster than Me and one morning I turned the computer on and it said I didn't have a ultra 100 controller, Well I had one for two weeks and nothing was added but it wouldn't load at all so now I have to reformat, I am going back to ME
