the lights are blinking and the train was moving dumdsheets. i asked you top post pics of the same game, at same resolution, you cant so kiss my ass.

and i owned a radeon pnly game good for it was a Quake 3 engine

Well moron, if a $350 card can't outperform a $75 card, I guess there isn't much to tell you. Your topic should be "Check it out, I get a sub-marginal improvement for $275!"

Just confirms my observations that generally those in law enforcement aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

I recently became a GF3 owner. I guess i got lucky, because i dont have any bleeding, fuzzy text(if i did i would be on the phone right now screaming at the company hehe) and just booting up tribes 2 to see what it looked made me a very very happy camper. quincunx FSAA at any res is nice. Personally i cant wait for unreal 2(quite a ways off i know) but more importantly Max Payne to come out. Some serious nice-age in the looks department 🙂

my pics look more like the second set shown, and no silly train games on my comp 🙂

while i agree its too expencive for what it does, if you have the cash you might as well spend it.

A few people(not on this forum) have called me a sheep for defending my card(mostly against the Kyro II) but I think thats silly. i owned a voodoo 3 3000 for 2 years. I bashed 3dfx for its lack of features(can anyone say 32bit color??) the entire time I owned it. i payed 150 then, which for me at the time was a huge sum. just about the same "size" as the 350 i payed for the GF3 when i look at my $$$ standing.

all in all, if you dont get one with poor RMI filters(i think that was the prb) the GF3 is an amazing card.

p.s. dont think im bashing the Kyro II, or the Radeon. Both are great at what they do, for the price they go for.

Ok, so someone puts up a pic of a train game running on their Radeon at 1600x1200x32. What does that prove?

And if nobody posts a pic... What does that prove?

On both counts, nothing.

NicColt, if I were you, I wouldn't bother going through the trouble. Those who have a Radeon know the image quality is good. Those who have owned a Radeon, and now own a GF3 know the image quality is good on both cards.

And anyone who knows anything, knows that to compare the two cards is silly, since they are in such different price ranges.

I suppose later we can compare a Canon S100 digital camera, and a Epson Photo PC650.

LOL WSPTrooper, you sure get excited. We oughta get powervr2 in here so you two can disscuss image quality.

What a furball that would be.
