GeForce 3 MX Pretty Much Confirmed

Go to http://www.guru3d.com/ and find the GeForce 3 MX blurb. It's the first one listed under the news section. Here it is anyway:

A while ago I received an image from a manager at Creative Labs Europe. They haven't 'forbidden' me to post the image so here we go. This is what I believe is a GeForce3 MX.

That manager told me that this snapshot (which is taken at his desk) is a product from the September line-up. If you look at the image closely you'll notice the lovely black PCB and a new type of 'ice/blue orb' cooler. Clearly the fan has been masked with the Creative Logo and the chips have been masked to black also. You can click on the image to enlarge it. Picture

I've been comparing the product with about 13 other videocards and I did not find one match, the design is the closest to the GeForce2 MX and therefore it's quite safe to assume it is a GeForce3 MX.

Perhaps it will enable people who can't quite afford a Geforce 3(myself included) to use DX8 features, etc. at a lower resolution(the chip swallows data faster than the mem can feed it already, and they'll probably use SDR ram)

Overclocking, now that's where this baby would be cool.

I just hope it doesn't use SDR RAM. Also it'll have to be at least half-decent to compete with ATi's Radeon 7500.

I'm sure that now that ATI has released more specs and information on the new Radeons, NVidia will do something to compete. This Geforce3 MX thing looks reasonable
