Geforce 3 help please!

I have a Gainward GF3 Golden Sample 64mb AGP card w/ vga, tv and dvi out. I put this card in to replace my Inno3d GF2 Ti 64mb AGP w/ only vga out.
My problem is I CANNOT get the GF3 to work with my already installed Intel Pro 2100 DSL PCI card. This card has worked fine for my DSL service since getting it, and I've gone from a TNT2 Pro to the GF2 Ti and now the GF3, but for some reason, the DSL card WILL NOT work when I have the GF3 in the machine.
If I take out the GF3 and put back in my GF2 Ti, presto, everything works fine again. I don't get it. I've tried old drivers, new drivers, changing resources, moving the DSL card to every other PCI slot. The only other card in my machine is my PCI sound card and I even tried removing that and running just the GF3 and the DSL card, still no dice.
Anyway, I am totally baffled so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Do you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system? Are you running an ACPI system with an ACPI OS?

The machine I have this in is running a Soyo 7vca-e mobo w/ a PIII 833 w/ Win98se. I have upgraded to the latest BIOS available on the mobo, and I have also upgraded the VIA 4 in 1 drivers to the most current version. I thought it might be related to the VIA 4 in 1 drivers so I have tried different versions, new and old, but none of the changes seemed to make any difference. Any other ideas? Please?😕

Take out your DSL card and move it to another slot. Obviously both aren't sharing the PCI IRQ INT's nicely with each other.

I had a D-Link LAN card which did the same with a Geforce DDR card.

So much for PCI Plug&Pray IRQ sharing....... three very bad words... plug&play and sharing.....

I've tried the card in every PCI slot and still no luck. It would be nice to make this work without having to shell out the dough for a new OS, even though Win98se is old, I kinda like it, and until now, have never really encountered any problems. Maybe I'll try it with a different motherboard. Any other input or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Try changing the setting for 'Plug&Play OS installed' in the BIOS. Technically for Win9x/ME it should be set to yes, and for Win2K/XP it should be set to no (according to Microsoft). Even if it is set like this, try the opposite.
Also, possibly try resetting the configuration data (sometimes referred to as ESCD).

I think I tried resetting the ESCD but not the Plug N Play OS Installed option. Either way, thanks for the input, I'll give them both a try! Any other ideas are always welcome! 😀
