We I just installed whatever new Drivers where on the Nvidia Wesite (detonator xp drivers 23.11) and ran 3dmark 2001. Results are below. They suck!!!
My setup
P4 1.8ghz
256mb pc800 ram
Geforce 3 (23.11 drivers)
Win ME
Monitor Refresh on Optimal (I think 75hz)
Directx 8.1

My benchmark settings
1024x768 32bit
2X AA
Frame Buffer Double
Compressed Texture
Zbuffer 24bit
D3d Pure Hardware T&L

I Scored a 4799

Can anyone help me out please. Any info would help
I compared to sytems less than mine on Madonion.com and they still kicked my as by 600 or 1000 points

AA is always off for the numerous benchmark scores you see out there. Turn it off and you'll be in the high 6000 range.

Ive found that usually the drivers that are specifically made for the card "I mean the ones that are either at the computer manufactures website or the card manufactures website" give me the best results.

That sounds about right....

My scores are in my sig.

Remember that this is just a benchmark to use against your own scores really.

Like to test how much overclocking piece of hardware x has an impact on system performance.

So don't worry about your 3dmark scores to much.

Usually the high scores you see online and at the top of the 3dmark arena are
the results of extreme overclocking using LN2 as cooling,
Myself, I have my computer cooled by outside air (which is at 50 degrees F right now)
so I overclock my computers FSB to 300Mhz to get my high scores...

Anyway.

Ones with higher scores have v-sync turned off. You can change v-sync by downloading coolbits and installing that. You can then turn off v-sync in the direct 3d: more d3d settings screen in the display settings.
