The screenshots look great. But...I'm reminded of Rage's Incoming. Remember that one? Impressive visuals for the time but gameplay was simplistic and unfulfilling.

Real games. Suprisingly, one of the games on nVidia's list is already on store shelves:Q

Also- Anyone see that Elsa/PlanetMoon are cooking up an overhauled version of Giants(like it needed it;)) to take advantage of the GF3? Will be bundled with the Elsa GF3 boards:)

ive said this before and ill say it again...2d image quality on the acutal Geforce core is second to none....where it goes real crappy is on the manufacturers side such as CL, Asus, etc.....who pick up the cheapest ass Ramdac filter to put on their cards because they want to keep the costs low..its not Nvidias fault that the cards based on their core is exhibithing poor image quality...

unfortunately, that is not how the majority of people perceive it. It is powered by a Nvidia chip, which is what they know it as, not a Fung Doo PooPoo RF filter that cost 50 cents.

I'm really unimpressed. Why? The NV20 is the newest chip out, so why do NONE of those screenshots show curved surfaces? Look carefully, none of them are curved, they are smooth shaded.

I also downloaded the NV20 Zoltar demo from fileplanet, and was unimpressed because showing a carefully rendered and tweaked face, that was designed specificly for the card, does not show its performance. All and all I've yet to see anything except "paper" on the chip.

P.S. Don't call it the GeForce3, its insulting.

The passthrough cables used on Voodoo and Voodoo2 based cards didn't even look as bad as Nvidia cards' 2D...

MUST HAVE CURVED SURFACES! Triangles are really getting tiresome, old and unsightly. Quake3 has curved surfaces, but not many people play it cause it sucks so hard, and not many maps really impliment it.

Once someone designs a game that impliments fully curved surfaces, and if the NV20 can run that, thats the time to celebrate. Does anyone know if the new DOOM
uses curved surfaces? I was watching the cnet thing on it and it looked like it probably did, though I wasn't impressed with the way the NV20 ran what the ID guy showed. Probably that slow ass mac(Oh how I lothe mac). But damn did the lighting look sweet.
