Am I the only one that is stuck with the drivers installing at 'Installing 3D Vision Driver'?

Was stuck for over 20 minutes, killed the process and now I'm stuck there again.

edit - looks like I got it to work. I killed the process for a second time and reran the instal app. Instead of Express, I selected custom and selected the 3D Vision Controller Driver as the only item to install as everything else was updated. When I clicked next, Windows asked if I wanted to install this possibly unsafe driver, I clicked yes and it completed installation. Restarting now.

Wouldn't mind stability reports from people on this.

Here is your report Captain.

nvpanel settings

1080p 8xCSAA 16xAF high quality, ambient occlusion ON. triple buff on, vsync on . single performance gpu.

Game settings are set to max and ticked on available options.

Crysis 2 I always got 60fps capped soo performance wise I cant tell its already fast. Game played like normal " like previous drivers" and I played it with my OC and for 3 hours straight session.

Dirt 3 This engine is as fast as COD or Crysis 2 but if you turn up everything I did notice it used to go to 52fps at times, but now its 57fps the lowest I see, and usually on 60fps capped... played game for 2 hours no problems with my OC,

BTW Im using EVGA Precision cuz MSI didnt work for me.

OpenGL

CS Source.

I dont have this I heard from a friend and he said no crashes and weird graphic glitch he would get is also gone. He played for 1 hour and half no crashes.

Trackmania 2 rocks. I used to get wierd stuff on the screen I thought it was Nadeo... but not with these new drivers. Cant wait for them to hit WHQL soon. and give us more optimization as if we need it.. LOL gg and gb

I'm getting (seemingly) random kernel failure on these new drivers. Screen goes black, then comes back on and gives the message about failed kernel.

Running dual MSI 1GB GTX 460's.

Thanks.

And it's not just games. Just general computer usage. Browsing the net, not even flash content related. Will just happen seemingly out of nowhere. Typing a text on Facebook for example, randomly black screen sometimes.

Drivers were solid for me playing the BF3 beta for a couple of hours lastnight, even under Ultra settings and everything in the NV Control Panel set to the highest settings.

Frame rates weren't the greatest with my Zotac AMP GTX580 but after dropping a few settings, everything was silky smooth. The BF3 beta game servers, on the other hand....

Drivers are running good for me. I installed over 275.27. Not using any 3d Vision options or the auto-update. It worries me, when the installer interface changes from revision to revision. This time not noting my current physX installed version and whether I wanted any changes with it. But in the end all is well.
Namely SLI experience in Unigene Heaven 2.5 is at it's best yet. In terms of lack of stutter.
Gave AvP, Dirt3, F12011 all a whirl , and all performed excellent in sli, no crashes.

Did a clean install this time (I know.. But have never had problems before so don't usually bother) and the kernel failing problem seems to be gone so far. Woot.

Anyone playing BF3 Beta with these drivers and 8800GT?

I'm asking because I'm trying to but...It's choppy as heck SLOW! Have all settins low or off.

The drivers more than likely don't benefit your 8800GT.

It did. The WHQL drivers wouldn't even let me play, but these beta drivers let me play (slow, but was able to play)

Anyone else using an 8800GT or possible for someone to try if it's in a rig or shelf? I just want to make sure it's my card and not anything else. If it is my card then why is it listed as supported o_O

I actually have a 8800GT laying around, I will try and pop it in to test later today.

I posted a thread in the video card section about my 9800gtx being a comparable card to your 9800gt.

For me it was more then playable fluid fps at 1024x768 on low and the best mixed quality/performance settings being mixed low/medium on 1280x1024....

My card is a 512mb which i assume yours is...in my experience 1600x1200 on low default would eat 506mb vram...

Edit:did you overclock your 2500k?i'm running mine at 4.3ghzs so idk if that might help improve things for you i'm thinking at such a low resolution the game is more cpu bottlenecked....

Speaking on stability these drivers are good, didn't get the black screen people have been talking about but I did do a clean install. Performance is up in quite a few titles from previous WHQLs
