thanks Capt Caveman!

No Problem.

Done. I had some freezing issues at first but got it working. At first, with my previous settings set to Ultra, I was getting fps in the single digits. But I then dropped everything to low settings and then went into NV Control Panel and set everything to performance but still had issues trying to run things at 1920x1200, choppy to almost freezing but fraps showed fps in the low 40s.

I finally dropped the res down to 1280x1024 and I was getting 50-mid 60s fps.

Definitely playable but at low settings the graphics are really terrible. I did not try to bump the res from 1280x1024.

Hope that helps.

I really was hoping for low settings at 1080p to get buy until later in the year...but that doesn't look promising now.

I'm going to try the samething to see if I can play this at 1280x.

Owe you one Capt Caveman.

Just edited my post as I forgot to add a word to say that I did not try bumping up the res from 1280x1024. You may be able to keep bumping up the res. You may be able to find it playable at higher resolutions but the graphics do look horrible.

Never experienced freezing but which cpu did you use?

Curious to know and i guess 1280x1024 is what we 8800gt/9800gt/gtx users can expect man i was wrong with my original estimate of 1600x1200 on low if i had 1gb i think it could have been done cause at 1600x1200 the vram was all gone...

Could anyone with a 8800gt 1gb or 9800 gt 1gb report on their fps?

CPU is 2500k w/ 16gb of ram. If I have time, I'll play around some more this weekend. I should have played around more using different resolutions.

Yeah I could definitely do without the " fix one thing, break another " releases, seems to be a trend. The auto-join on BF3 is fubar, unless you go to the server browser you're in for ISSUES on that one. I'm gettin damn good though , and short of server issues the drivers are working pretty well so I'm sure you'll get it workin.

Have fun with the new toy!

Thinking origin prob has multiple versions of their beta BF3 on multiple servers or something cause i was up till 4am with this issue....

I reinstall drivers i do all other possible workarounds, moment i redownload and reinstall the game, presto the freaking game works beautifully o_O

This is a known issue which you can fix yourself by going to Flash 11 current beta.

Which reminds me, time to try out FF8! Hope it doesn't choke Battlelog. Sometimes the thing acts up after a disconnect, but just restarting the browser and Origin seems to clear it well enough.
