Geforce 2 mx problems. will upgrading to a Geforce 4 ti4200 fix it?

Hey, ever since i bought this oem geforce 2 mx(has been alittle over a year) ive been having troubles, It wont go full screen in alot of Open Gl games, what happens is it shows the windows taskbar on the bottom, and if i set it any higher res it only shows 50% of the moniter and windows 98se is the same way, it looks really wierd either way, im on a duron 700 @900 and a abit kt7 kt133 mobo. 256 mb sdram crucial ram. Its about time i upgraded my HDD and vid card anyways so i was wondering if i get a geforce 4 ti4200, do you think itll fix it? ill also upgrade to win xp. Thanks.. also are gainward 64mb ge force 4 ti4200's any good?
