I have a Leadtek GeForce 2 MX overclocked to 185mhz core / 180mhz memory
(plan to go higher once I get Blue Orb)
On 3Dmark2000 I get (running the default test) 4026
What is a REALLY high score for an MX and what do you get with yours????

The score is meaningless. Just use 3DMark as a stability test and be glad if you can run it without crashing.

LOL how can you OC more than the max specs???? i mean my clock only goes up to 220 and memory to 210......how you get 230???? 🙂
BTW, how on EARTH can you get 5800 on a 2 MX???? i know people who dont get that high on a GTS.........

mav,
to overclock higher than max specs (175/166) i flashed to RETAIL hercules GF2 MX bios giving me a (175/183) default. Now my max memory clock is 230 mhz instead of 210 mhz.
 
i have a duron 600 overclocked to 630 via 105 FSB with asus geforce ddr and 256 meg PC133 and i get 4678 default benchmark
 
I threw my GeForce2 MX overclocked to 210/210 on my workstation (Celeron 450a). I posted 3832 3DMarks. That is the fastest score posted for that processor speed.

And yes, the coolbits tweak program allows you to max the sliders at 220/230. I've benchmarked each slider setting all the way up to the max setting. I've discovered that anything beyond 205/205 is barely noticable in terms of performance. There is limitations to the memory and core itself, so cranking it up to 220/230 may look impressive, but it barely shows any performance increase over a modest overclock of 205/205.

download NVflash and the dos4gw in the misc file section.

flash the BIOS with the RETAIL bios file. Read all of the directions. It's pretty self explainitory. I think you really want to overclock your card too badly. I understand though I am the same way. Good Luck. Be patient. I don't want you killing your card.
 
thx.......im doing this mostly cause its something i havent done yet, not because i wanna OC my card that much.........thx anyway 🙂
