What's up with it only gettting 2600 3DMarks? I know it's a crappy DX7 card but is it a low scorer just because it can't do a lot of the tests? It does do what I needed from it.....Plays some newer games that my old V3 3K wouldn't but damn it's a crappy little card......Cool heatsink and fan though.

That score is low for a MX440 in 3DMock2k1se, way low....

I have managed 6000 with the IGP version.

A Ti4600 gets about that in 2003, nowhere near an MX.

No I mean 2001SE this is a ridiculous score for the card.......Even if it is an MX. What can I do to bring it up?

I actually ran a GeForce 4 MX on 3DMark2003, guess what it scored, 76! It was only able to run a single test, maybe two, not sure.

Is it a version with 64 bit memory?

That may explain poor performance, uf that is the case.

btw with 3dmark03 I get an impressive score of 300 points! :D

If you bought your gf4 mx440 recently then I can almost guarantee that it's 64bit, most of the old versions (like the one above) are 128bit and are atleast 30% - 50% faster! :(

yea there's something wrong. GF4 mx's are NOT(!!!!!) THAT bad. They're essentially free nowadays anyway. You should be around 6k in 3d01 I would imagine. Make sure you don't have AA or AF on. When's the last time you re-installed windows? That's a cure all.

edited to add "NOT(!!!!)"

3dmarks03's test are mostly based on direct x 9
that's why

Test 1 = DX7
Test2 = DX8 (maybe DX7, not sure)
Test3 = DX8
Test4 = DX9

Did you mean ARE that bad, or aren't that bad?
If you meant what you typed, you contradict yourself, if you meant aren't, please type aren't, because it is the total opposite of what you typed.

This from THG shows an integrated GF4 MX solution getting 5k 3Dmarks, so yours is definately off.
What is the rest of your system, and do you have AGP 4x enabled, and AA/AF off in the driver settings?
