Geeze - Traffic Schools seem so sleezy.

I got my first ever speeding ticket on Sunday, and the postcards started arriving Tuesday, and I have since recieved 11 postcards offering online traffic school to me.

Wish they had driving classes for us in the MN, only thing we get is $100-$300 in immediate debt and another $100 a month in insurance for the next 10 years 🙁

I got the ticket while I was working - two of the pizzas I was delivering had to be remade because another employee forgot to take some toppings off of them. I took my chances, and sped trying to get it to the customer's house, and the odds didn't work out in my favor 😱

A black, unmarked Camaro pulled me and two other people over at the same time 😱 He told me the only reason he gave me a ticket was because he's given me a warning in the past (and he did). The ticket is 179 dollars, for 15 over the limit. There's a 15% discount, and I will get no points on my license if I take a driving class.

Online traffic school takes about 20 minutes and teaches you absolutely nothing, but it counts towards keeping points off you license. It's a lot better than spending 8 hours in a regualr traffic school.

the duration depends on the laws in your state. in CA, the test part takes about 20 minutes total but there's a timer on each page that enforces 8 hours total "instruction" time.

I've gone to those classes in person and it sucks. I think both times it was 8 hours. Both tickets were cops sitting there filling a ticket quota. The class is such an utter joke but they dangle the "higher insurance" carrot in front of you.
