Now it is up to $229 bucks at Newgg . At this point You might as well buy a 7900gt. What are they thinking?

A sigle x1950pro is as fast as a 7900gt so its still better value. plus better IQ

actually most reviews I have seen show the 7900gt running faster than the 1950 in most games without AA/AF. Even in Anands review with AA/AF many games the 7900gt ran faster.

The asus version of the x1950 pro with the upgraded cooler (but no xfire bridge) is still $190 last time I checked, I'm starting to think that is a better deal. I draw the line @ $210.

funny that some x1950 pro's were selling for $165.00. Screw $229 might as well get a x1900xt for that used, perhaps for even less. Even the x1950xt can be found for $270. Its worth imo 180-190 tops.

Go here and you can check the benches in a bunch of things. It definately gets beat by the 7900gt almost every time.

Not sure what you were looking at... These 2 cards score very close in all of the gaming benchmark except when it comes to Titan Quest, where the Radeon is ~ 40% faster @1600x1200, AA, 8xAF.

And, I do not "play" 3DMark06 so those numbers really don't mean anything to me.
