It is hot where i am at. I dont know anyone who has air conditioning in their home near where I live. Its supposed to be in the upper 90's and even possibly 100 in the next couple of days.
Seattle sucks right now.
I'm with ya. I'm still scouring the city to find a good deal on a window unit. All the places I've visited or called are all sold out. I fucking drove out to the Issaquah Costco to find one, with no luck. I'm crossing my fingers I can find something reasonable at Sears tomorrow.
Good luck man, I am going to work late tomorrow and plant my ass in the server room until i get frosty.
I have to laugh at myself since the funny part about all this Seattle heat is that I used to live in Spokane. I got used to the 100+ days of summer... then I moved over here. After so many years I have become pansified and now can't stand it above 90. It's just after 2am... my bedroom (Issaquah Highlands) is almost cool enough to sleep in now...
Spokane is a Dry Heat though. Makes quite a difference.

I'll quell that. IT was 76 degrees this morning in Dallas Texas.
It is currently 90. All I've heard on the national news sites about Texas is some record drought. It's rained 3 weekends in a row and we got some good rain yesterday too. Me thinks the national news services are equating West Texas with all of Texas.

You know, everyone says that but it's not that big of a difference. We were over in Spokane a few weeks ago and it was 95 and it still felt pretty miserable. It was made quite bearable because we happened to be on a lake but still, it was hot.
Now, go to places where the humidity is actually quite high like parts of the east coast... holy crap, that is insane. I can hardly breath there, I can't imagine trying to sleep.

lmao at all the WA resident popping up here. I'm in Olympia at my parents place this summer and I'm soooo glad my dad installed a AC in my room years ago 😀. If I was back at my place in Seattle with no AC I'd go ape shit.
I can believe that. Portland set their all-time record high low this morning at 74F, and they'll probably set an all-time record high tomorrow. It's just ridiculously hot in Oregon.Originally posted by: Nik
It was 108 in Raleigh Hills around 7pm tonight. Coworker has an outside thermometer and it's mounted in the shade. :Q

Try living in California specifically Los Angeles area where 80* is hot and cold when it dips into the 50's.
80 is hot? For LA? Doesn't it get a crapload hotter there? My wife has family up from Bakersfield right now. I don't think it's been below 100 there for a while. At least they have AC, here only the $1mil+ houses up the hill have AC... though it's normally only needed for a few days a year.
