I'm with ya. I'm still scouring the city to find a good deal on a window unit. All the places I've visited or called are all sold out. I fucking drove out to the Issaquah Costco to find one, with no luck. I'm crossing my fingers I can find something reasonable at Sears tomorrow.

Yep just freaking uber humidex. Normally it's really dry in that area and it's not uncommon for it to hit 40 C in the summer (104 F), but 60 C with the humidex is nuts.

Lillooet hit a high of 44.x C before. Imagine that with the humidex.

Which part of BC, Colt?

If you're in Vancouver Saturday night, checkout the Fireworks in English Bay.

I have to laugh at myself since the funny part about all this Seattle heat is that I used to live in Spokane. I got used to the 100+ days of summer... then I moved over here. After so many years I have become pansified and now can't stand it above 90. It's just after 2am... my bedroom (Issaquah Highlands) is almost cool enough to sleep in now...

Try living in California specifically Los Angeles area where 80* is hot and cold when it dips into the 50's.

80 is hot? For LA? Doesn't it get a crapload hotter there? My wife has family up from Bakersfield right now. I don't think it's been below 100 there for a while. At least they have AC, here only the $1mil+ houses up the hill have AC... though it's normally only needed for a few days a year.

Yea Bakersfield is kinda far from LA and it's in a valley. I'm in LA city and it's relatively cool there. There are valley parts of LA that get cold and really hot but they don't count cus they are in the valley.

I was at Costco here the other day and they a LOT of AC units. :D Lowes had an aisle full of window units too.

Just get in your car and make the drive down here. From Seattle, it's only about 15 hours.
