crantang, just remember that the light has to turn off when you close the glove compartment... otherwise... long weekend.. dead battery. They make plenty of flashlight type devices that'll stick in place, as mentioned above. Just stick one in and change the battery every year. (unless you spend a LOT of time rummaging around in your glovebox)

The size of light she would need wouldnt drain her battery over a weekend. Lets be realistic, the light will be one of those tiny ones the size of the tip of a pinky finger. She could leave it on all the time, unless she plans on leaving her car sitting for weeks at a time.
