GeekSquad 8GB flash drive not showing up in Win 7 Pro

Simple, i have a 8GB GeekSquad Flash drive that works perfectly on the Vista 64 side of my computer, but does nothing on my Win 7 64 side. Nothing shows up anywhere, disk management, my computer, ect. It shows up in device manager.

Any insight would be great

If it does show up in the Device Manager but nowhere else, try uninstalling it in the Device Manager and reboot, without actually removing the drive.

Also, did you try a diffferent USB port?

Have you tried booting Win 7 w/o the device? Do that, and then hot plug it after W7 is up and running.

*sigh*

for some reason the rear of the computer works and not the front only in Win 7. I would have tried this simple option but i didnt think only some USB drives would work...

That is odd.

Go into the Device Manager in 7, see if there are some drivers missing for the fronts.

The same port works in Windows Vista, i think its a driver issue. i have a thingy that has USB ports on it that goes into my 2.5" slot, maybe its just out of date

They are add-on. I cant remember at all what the brand is...

Checking newegg history...
