So for $80 you can get a 780G board and a 45W dual core?

Hopefully you've picked up one of the $10 4GB crucial kits lately and this would be quite the value box...

Thanks to Hans007 and Engineer, I'm in for a motherboard and cpu. The motherboards was $58.69 shipped to Texas, the bare 2.1 ghz cpu was $29.99 (I have a HSF laying around here somewhere).

Okay guys...does combining this mobo with the Brisbane and a Radeon 4650 give you a good enough HTPC to play Blu-ray?

Looks like a nice deal, but no support for 125W CPUs. I have a Phenom 9850 chip that needs a low-rent home. 🙁

The onboard video card is powerful enough. You don't need 4650.

Unless he wants surround PCM (that is, non-lossy) audio over HDMI.

Of course, in that case he could just go with Nvidia integrated (8200/8300) anyway.
