Any self professed geek should be able to figure out how to cook. Just follow the recipe. Baking can be a bit more temperamental, you do have to get your ratios correct or it's simply not going to come out correctly. Cooking is pretty forgiving though, really the only way you can ruin something is to burn it.

Jean can cook, I've seen her report back here on this very forum with fairly elaborate recipes she's successfully pulled off. She's more than capable, but she probably doesn't really like to cook, and mostly, she was just having some creative YouTube fun.
