The average age of this forums will automatically lend itself to LOTR

Pfffft!!!!! I cannot believe you would even put these two movies/clans/epochs in the same category w/each other!!!

The Lord of The Rings has been around for decades and essentially builds on premises that all of mankind has at least heard of. "Middle Earth" and "Medievil Times" etc, etc.

Harry Potter, while very cool, has been around about 15 years or so, and is about a pre-pubescent boy that discovers his "magical powers". :Disgust: Masturbation, anyone? :Q

Attempting to put these two in the same category is like trying to compare a Hyundai Scoupe and a Porsche Boxter. They are both "sports cars." However, one has the key to the city, the other one is just somehow purely shiitty.

i'm going to bet 99% of you have never read harry potter, and if you do, you'd be prejudiced against it because its an alleged "children's" book.

Having read both, I can say that Harry Potter is good, but LOTR is better. Tolkien just paints with a broader brush.
