I found that wearing "geek" clothing tends to undermine my efforts to not be quite so nerdy when interacting with the non-geek set, which often includes females and business contacts.
YMMV.

All the really cool stuff comes for free from our vendors, conferences, sales meetings, training sessions etc.

I rather like thinkgeek etc. but they don't come in really really large sizes, or as we call them around here, "programmer size".
