also, they're probably too dumb to figure out how to commit a crime...

I've been told I'm an attractive-looking guy. Thanks for letting me know my life is perfect. Here I was thinking it was full of problems. But maybe that's because I'm just "too dumb".

Or maybe I was lied to. Maybe I'm ugly too, just like you.

maybe

why can it be that they are just more likely to get caught??

because the study wasn't about who is more likely to get caught, it was about who is more likely to commit a crime.
But to know WHO commited a crime, you have to catch someone, right?

and your point is?

what does that have to do with the topic?
 You tell me:

"because the study wasn't about who is more likely to get caught, it was about who is more likely to commit a crime."

Which is why I responded: "But to know WHO commited a crime, you have to catch someone, right?"

And for some reason you got lost....

God, I hate it when I have to break something down pre-school style for people.

EDIT:

p.s. You suck at choosing a Topic title

lol, i guess you'll hate yourself when i have to break it down for you then.

the study was about who was more likely to commit a crime, not who actually commited a crime.

see the difference or do i need to break it down for you any more?

p.s. - you just plain suck

and aside from PROFILING BASED ON HISTORICAL RECORDS OF CRIMINALS THAT HAD BEEN CAUGHT, how do you determine who is likely to commit a crime and who isn't .

damn your dense.

Wow, thats the stupidest logic I've ever heard. Do you have any idea how they determine who is "likely" to commit a crime?

uh yeah...

Mocan and Tekin found supporting evidence to recent studies showing that unattractive men and women are less likely to be hired by potential employees, generally earn less money than more attractive people and ultimately are at a disadvantage, which are key factors that compel a person to break the law.

pretty easy to tell that people who are slighted would have a higher chance to commit a crime than someone who got what they wanted.

not hard to figure that out. and i didn't have to do any research. was common sense if you ask me.
