To the question:

"Were you awarded a GED?"

would I put a yes if I have a HS diploma? Or is GED something altogether different?

I did a search on it but can't find anything.

"Awarded"? That's weird wording.

Anyway, if you didn't get one, don't say you did. It'd be lying.
 
GED is different than a HS diploma.. GED is a general equivalency diploma. Its for people who havent finished HS and then went back to take a test to get a diploma.

Actually the correct term is Good Enough Diploma 😛

I dont know if you could realistically 🙂

I know that our school district wouldnt allow you to take a GED until your 'class' graduates.
