Gears of War on XP

Anyone running GoW on XP? I installed it and when I started it, the menu is really really lsow. like the mouse only works in like 10 second spurts.

I didn't have any problems. Haven't played it in a few months though, so maybe they borked it in an update?

Aside from the menu are you able to play the game fine? What settings? I ran it just fine but I did notice performance hit with certain options turned on. Also it seemed to run faster when I had my Asus K8V-SE deluxe motherboard. After I switched to the DFI Lanparty it would stutter more but manually setting my ram settings instead of auto seemed to fix it. Not sure if that helps at all.

i haven't tried to play the game. i assumed that since the menu was screwed up, the game would be too.
i uninstalled it and i'm reinstalling again. it's almost finished.

its a weird game, I've had errors a couple times while playing even after a fresh install of windows. I've also read that there is occasional stuttering on rigs more powerful at mine.

Just curious, how many people play it online on PC? By that I mean is it hard to find servers?

well it appears to be my G15 keyboard that is causing it. saw a poster say his brother or friend had one, unplugged it and plugged it back while on the menu and it worked. tried it out on my system and it did work...frickin weird.
