Gears of War Multiplayer Won't Work

So I have an Xbox Live Gold subscription that has worked fine for Madden and a few other games for months now. I just got through Gears of War single player and decided I would check out multiplayer, as it is supposed to be great. Gears searches for a match, finds some, and then either refuses to connect in the first place or goes into a never ending loading screen. I have to hold the Xbox button and go back to the dashboard to get out of it. I've tried this like 8 times now and I am really angry about it.

The 360 is behind a PC running ICS, which is in turn connected to a router. I know two NAT layers isn't exactly the ideal setup for gaming, but no other game ever had any problem?

What Gives?

try this:

1. Choose exactly what you want to do as far as versus, or co-op goes.

2. If versus, chose whether you want it to be ranked or not.

3. Choose "Custom Match".

4. Fill out the qeury with the information so it finds a game you intend to play in.

5. When it says "Searching..." or "Refreshing...", quickly hit the "X" button to refresh again.

6. Once the "X" button has been hit, a list of games will show up behind the "Searching..." or "Refreshing..." dialogue.

7. At this point you may choose from the list that has appeared behind the dialogue.

it has worked for me most of the time. I sometimes take 2-3 tries, but almost always get in pretty quickly. they are working on a patch as we speak also.

Yah, try not bringing the custom match list up and DO NOT choose games that are about to get filled. Since I started joining matches that are 3/8 or 4/8 I never get kicked out and can join the games right away.

Hopefully, that is one of the first things that Epic will fix with GoW....a message telling you that you joined a full room is much more meaningful and not as annoying as a message that says you lost connection.

I'm not complaining about the connection to game has been lost message, i mean it joins and then treats me to a rotating gear and a loading message that will never go away and basically crashes my console.
