GE really does make lot of things

Actually yeah they are quite involved with nuclear stuff. Nuclear medicine and stuff as well.

Toshiba also makes nuclear reactors. I will start to worry when Acer gets into that too.

The reactors at Fukushima were GE, so yeah, I'm not sure Acer would be any worse. :sneaky:

But the issue was the backup generators, more specifically their idiotic placement below the waterline.

They were above sea level but their tsunami protection was insufficient, by a significant margin. Key electrical equipment also was not protected from water which prevented portable generators from supplying power to run the cooling systems before the batteries ran out.

GE hasn't made those in several years, which is why Dillon Aero has been making them, along with improved aftermarket parts [larger ammo bins, stronger feed mechanisms, etc]

GE even makes the bathroom caulk I use.

They have a habit of getting involved in new things, buying companies, during boom times and then getting back to core business in bad times.

IBM, Singer, Underwood, Rock-Ola, Inland division of General Motors, and other companies that you wouldn't associate with guns made guns, especially during WWII.
