GE 320VA Backup Power Supply: $14.94 @ Target B&M

My jaw dropped when I saw this one. Target B&M (Brick & Mortar....the real place, not online) has the General Electric 185 Watts/320VA Backup Power Supply marked Clearance at the amazing price of $14.94. Their original price was $59.99. I promptly grabbed one of the two remaining at the Pasadena, CA store (yes, I believe in playing "fair&quot😉. The SKU is 080000991.

This unit appears to be an exact clone of the CyberPower CPS320SL (which gives 4-9 minutes of backup power).

I tell you, when Target does a markdown...they mean business!

Your mileage *will* vary on this one (in fact, this may have been a mistake...read the other messages and don't get your hopes up).

If anyone has any luck with this could you please scan your receipt. Also, has anyone ever tried using this technique to get Target to match their other stores? I'm not very familiar with Target policies. My local Target still show them @ $59.xx. Thanks
 
When I called my local Target store, the electronics guy said that the SKU 080000991 isn't valid and needs to be 10 digits. Could you please double-check the SKU for me? Thanks!

 
When item go on clearance at Target, sometime the number is taken out of the system. You have to use the number on the clearance tags. Not all Target store follow the clearance plan. Some Target store do it later, some do it sooner.
 
$15 is pretty nice.

Wonder how decent the UPS is? Clamping voltage, Joule capacitance, filtering?

Many cheaper UPS's won't switch fast enough to prevent the CPU from rebooting or shutting down...kinda defeats their purpose.

But at $15, I'll hook one to my speakers.....that way with my other UPS, I can still play CounterStrike for another 15-20minutes using headphones (a must for FPSs).

I just went to Target in Tampa bay, Florida - the price was 59.95 scanned. I asked the guy at the electronics - he said that the clearance items are not in effect for all stores. He said that probably the Ca store is getting rid of all of them that's why the price was 14.95 ..

It sounded like good deal 🙁
 
Hey guys, sorry that the price isn't ringing up this way for everyone. I don't have a scanner, so I can't get my receipt to you. Here is the line exactly as it appears on the receipt:

I do know that Target can MAJORLY SUCK in getting all of their clearance prices in sync. I tried about 4 separate times to get a Panasonic DVD Changer for $149 because someone in Georgia got his for that. To this day, my local stores insist the price is still $299 for it.

Heck, maybe call the Pasadena store (626) 584-1606 and ask 'em what's up? Or the district office?

I called all around the Seattle Area....most carry VERY limited computer equipment...none heard of or carried this item.

Oh well.


 
Wow, if these units are still regular price in other stores even here in CA, perhaps I should kill this deal.

Maybe the Pasadena, CA store just screwed up.

I went to the store in Manhattan Beach, CA today. They were still full price. The lady at the counter told me that each Target store puts stuff on clearance at different times.
