GBA vs GBA SP

I was thinking about trading in my kids GBA for a GBA SP for Christmas.

It will be $79 - $20 trade-in.

Is it worth it?

SP is much much better, just because of the backlight (sidelight, whatever).

To me, the gba feels a bit sturdier than the SP. You can mod it yourself for $~20 to install a backlight.

Easily worth it. The SP is so much nicer.

You can get a few more bucks by ebaying the old one as opposed to trading it in, especially if you bundle an older game or two with it.

 

Without question upgrade.

I prefer the GBA with afterburner. Easier to hold.

I don't like the sp.
I don't like the design, and it doesn't feel as well built as an gba.

The SP is much better than the GBA but I don't think that's the best way to spend $60.
