Golden Bear by Nicklaus Golf stand bag for $29.99 + shipping. I ordered this last week. This is a nice, well made bag, neutral colors, and it's hands down the cheapest stand bag I've seen. It has ample zippered pockets (even pockets within pockets) and a nice comfy strap.

The stand mechanism functions fine, no issues there. Even Kmart and Target don't come close with their stuff, even on sale. It'll comfortably fit a full set of clubs, but there are larger bags out there, so if you carry more than the standard 13-14 clubs, you may want to look at something larger. But for me, a beginner, for a cheap knockaround bag that's very light and looks good, this was it.

good find, only wish that it doesn't say golden bear on the side... sigh... for 30 bux i guess can't really complain.

serious tho, a good beat around kick around bag. 🙂

What's so bad about the golden bear? I don't care about logos anyway, I built my own clubs, and my clubs are a hodgepodge of logos.

You could always paint over it with some fabric paint, it's not a bad looking bag otherwise.

OK, how do you make your own clubs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I have never heard of this b4.

Sounds cool, bump to da man with skills at steel work!

wow, i cant believe i missed that. I am seriously considering this purchase. Does anybody else have any good/bad input about the bag?

1. I guess "Built" is not the best word. More "assembled", I didn't forge them from molten metal, I bought shafts, heads and grips, and glued them together into a set. See www.golfsmith.com for the partz.

2. I bought this bag for my aforementioned club set, I like it, for $38 bux shipped, it's a great deal. The bag has many zippered pockets, reasonable size. The only comment i'd have is that it's not the biggest bag in the world, it's fine for a regular set of clubs, it'll hold them fine, but if you have like 6 putters, etc, you'd be better off spending more to get a larger bag.
